Anywhere from 3-7 days! The hotel(s) listed below are a healthy mix to suit any and every traveller. From eco-glamping to boutique suites. I have a recommendation for you.


Pal Mar Tropical

Recommended for: modern comfort traveler

Everything you want for a magical stay. It’s conveniently located in the town centre. 2-minutes from the beach, still tucked away on a quiet street.

The Comfort Suite was idyllic. Contemporary design with private balcony overlooking the lush patio terrace. Their sustainable policies in place, and free travel guide on arrival made staying at this boutique hotel a highlight to our trip! Pal Mar is where modern comfort meets tranquil living.


Maraica Eco Hotel

Recommended for: peace and relaxation traveler

Located on the quieter end of San Pancho’s pristine beach. Maraica is a pet-friendly hotel that is super committed to preserving San Pancho’s nature and its species. Generating all their own energy with solar panels, and redirecting their waste water to nearby gardens.

Here you really get the feel for fine details, that are put into place to deliver the ultimate conscious travel experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the sound of the ocean from every room. The garden courtyard with infinity pool is where you’ll likely spend most of you days (I know i did!)

With the open-space available at this hotel it’s ideal for events, retreats or weddings.

PS: Muvieri the restaurant on site is a must-try, insanely delicious food.

Aldea Bamboo Village

Recommended for: nature and outdoorsy traveler

Every bird lover’s ultimate getaway. This is ecological glamping at it’s finest. A chance to truly connect with nature, you really feel as though you are tucked-in a remote jungle somewhere far, while still being a 10-minute walk from San Pancho downtown. With a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor hot shower, it’s a unique stay to say the least!

A few steps from the quietest part of the beach. These private bamboo-built cabins are like treehouses submersed in palm trees to provide minimum impact on the land. You feel as though you are one with the land here.


Traveling to San Pancho and you wanna know where to eat, and what to do?

Here’s a quick summary of places to visit.

My favourite breakfast and lunch spots were Muvieri, Chido Greens, and Yasmins.

Dinner spots were Gipsy, Limbo, and La Ola Rica

Spend your days at the beach, San Pancho is a slow travel destination. Watching sunset in San Pancho is a must and it’s the best chance to see the local community come together.

During high season (Dec-May) their most-known for international culture festivals (depending on your travel dates, this may be what you do!)

Try volunteering if you can to help the protect the sea turtles hatching from June-Nov with Project Tortuga.

and lastly, let it be the admiration San Pancho locals have for nature, and their efforts towards minimising human impact on Earth… that make it a must-visit destination in Mexico’s pacific.
